Not all items are allowed to be transported across the border. This is because the international courier network is guided by strict aviation, safety, and customs regulations. This means that there are prohibited items for international shipping and they cannot be transported at all. These restrictions and prohibitions are strictly adhered to protect the goods, the people with whom they come into contact, the environment, and, in fact, to comply with the laws of another country.
Our service does not allow any shipments if they come under the banned items category. If any of these prohibited items are couriered from India or are identified during the booking, packing, and transportation of the packages, it will be stopped immediately.
The following categories are not accepted for international shipping from India under any circumstances:
Items that pose a risk during transport are strictly restricted. This includes explosives, flammable liquids, and fuels.
Narcotics, drugs, or controlled substances are not permitted. Shipments must comply with the laws of the destination country.
Firearms, ammunition, weapon parts, sharp objects, and even replicas are not allowed for international courier movement.
Fresh food, meat, seafood, dairy products, and homemade food cannot be shipped due to spoilage risks and import restrictions.
Live animals, plants, seeds, soil, etc., are categorized as biological materials, which are prohibited in courier services.
Cash, currency notes, valuable jewellery, and precious stones are restricted unless handled under specialized services.
Objectionable materials, pirated content, and counterfeit products that violate intellectual property laws are not accepted.
Human remains, organs, and ashes are among highly regulated items and cannot be sent through standard courier services.
Loose lithium batteries and electronic items that may pose a potential hazard come under the category of restricted cargo.
Some items are not completely banned but are restricted from shipping. Products like perfumes, cosmetics, food items (such as pickles or spices), and liquids may be accepted only under specific conditions. Approval depends on packaging standards, documentation, and destination country rules.
Accurate declaration of shipment contents is not optional. All shipments are checked in the customs clearance process to prevent illegal shipping. If it is found that there are any discrepancies in the declared contents and the actual contents, it may lead to delays or even confiscation.
Shipping regulation and courier policy vary across countries and are updated frequently. An item allowed in one destination may be restricted or banned in another. The final clearance for any shipment will be with the customs of that country.
For a better understanding of a particular item, it is always recommended that you get in touch with us to know the courier rules before you book your shipment.
